About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to guest and tenant needs, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site contacts and/or public services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of commercial property areas such as lobbies, corridors, elevators, loading docks, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
• Monitor access points and building activity, assist with visitor check-in and/or badge control when assigned, and help to maintain orderly traffic flow in common areas.
• Document daily activities and irregularities in reports and logs, communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site management, and support investigations by preserving relevant information.
