Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through proper channels.
  • Support healthcare location operations by assisting with directions, de-escalating tense situations, and following post orders related to privacy, restricted areas, and security-related procedures.
