About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Situational Awareness in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific procedures, maintaining a courteous and professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
