Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, galleries, common areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor visitor, student, staff, and/or vendor activity throughout the location, provide directions and assistance as needed, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Support access control practices by observing entry points, verifying authorized access when required, and communicating with site contacts regarding security-related issues or operational needs.
