As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident documentation.
  • Report damaged equipment, unsecured areas, suspicious activity, and other site concerns to the appropriate contacts in accordance with established procedures.
