As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Loss Prevention in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel or resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to guests and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and/or associates by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hotel public areas, guest access points, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property to help deter unauthorized access, disturbances, and policy violations.
  • Document incidents, patrol activity, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
