About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Hazard Assessment in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a retail distribution center while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution center, parking areas, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
