About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driving Awareness in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a memorial park location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to visitors and staff. You will communicate clearly, report observations, and support a respectful environment through teamwork, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and security-related protocols at a memorial park and cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vehicle activity, and report unusual conditions, hazards, property concerns, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional and respectful presence in a sensitive memorial setting.
