Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, vendors, and/or deliveries, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, damaged access points, or other site policy concerns.
  • Support daily operations by observing equipment yards, material storage areas, and high-traffic work zones, while following post orders and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or incidents according to site procedures.
