As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology-focused data center location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for people and critical operations. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use teamwork and integrity to deliver reliable, innovative service in Allied Universal’s caring culture.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology infrastructure location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center facilities, access points, parking areas, utility spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, alarms, and surveillance systems, following established procedures for access verification and incident reporting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, access activity, incidents, and security-related observations.
