Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, where you will drive between assigned areas to complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and document activity with clear communication. You will respond to service needs, assist employees and visitors with directions and questions, and represent a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, operational areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entrances, gates, and/or vehicle traffic, verifying authorization, and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
  • Complete reports on patrol activities, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
