About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Awareness in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned waterfront, terminal, facility, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor and vehicle access procedures in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with site representatives, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
