As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Deterrence in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a fast-paced logistics and distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. Requirements

  • Have at least two years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, vehicle entry and exit activity, and delivery areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
