About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Console in Mc Lean, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout commercial property locations, including building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
Monitor entrances, lobbies, loading areas, and other common spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
Support property operations by assisting with access control, visitor directions, and routine security-related checks of doors, gates, lighting, and shared areas.
