As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Communications in Troy, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and assist with security-related concerns while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
Help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior through a professional presence and timely reporting.
