Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare purchasing and logistics environment.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations, incidents, and completed patrols accurately.
• Support a professional and orderly environment by communicating respectfully with diverse individuals and following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
