Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Agent in Birmingham, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will greet patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns while documenting observations and supporting facility protocols. Requirements

• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a healthcare location, assisting staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general requests.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, help maintain orderly entry and/or exit, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns to site contacts.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications accurately and on time, and support emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
