As an Unarmed Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will use computer or tablet systems to support badge and access control activities while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, shipping and receiving docks, trailer yards, employee entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and driver entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
