As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, monitor assigned areas, respond to alarms, and help to deter security-related incidents. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving post. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public at a government transportation location by carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, perimeter areas, and transportation-related infrastructure to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify emergency services and/or site contacts according to established procedures.
Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift records while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
