About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Driver in Middletown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will drive patrol routes, monitor assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and team members, and contribute to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity around telecommunications equipment, offices, and common areas; report unusual conditions, damaged property, and policy violations.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
