About The Position

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and support a welcoming environment for children, families, and clinical staff.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site procedures.
