Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or conditions and reporting them according to site protocols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support visitor management expectations, and/or provide directions and assistance as needed.
  • Complete routine reports and document observations, incidents, and/or response actions accurately while communicating with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding security-related concerns.
