Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
• Applicants must have one or more years of law enforcement experience, two or more years of security-related supervisor and/or manager experience, or five or more years of security-related experience.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Applicants must have two or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, entry procedures, and reporting concerns involving restricted areas, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
• Support a professional environment by remaining visible, providing assistance during high-traffic periods, and following post orders for medical campus operations, after-hours activity, and/or emergency situations.
