As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Coordination in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Use computer and badge-access systems to support site operations, respond to alarms and incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout technology facilities, including interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access activity and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
Complete detailed activity reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.
