As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Associate in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a public education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts and public officials as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, document incidents and observations, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Support daily operations during arrival, dismissal, after-hours activities, and/or special events by maintaining a visible presence and following post orders and location protocols.
