About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver Security Rounds in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as assigned, and directing patients and visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and healthcare facility personnel.
