As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with courteous service. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to requests with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license, as you move between areas to support the site through teamwork and a people-first approach.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and support with hospital personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and interior areas while on patrol, observing for unusual conditions and reporting maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or hazards per site procedure.
• Complete security-related reports and activity logs, communicate post updates during shift transitions, and assist with directions and customer requests as needed.
