About The Position

As an Access Control Officer at a retail and mall location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with visitors and team members. Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, tenants, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, manage visitor and vendor sign-in procedures, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Observe activity throughout the location and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, or unusual conditions according to site procedures.
