Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Community Rover in Queens , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will report concerns, assist visitors and staff with clear communication, and provide customer service that reflects Allied Universal values. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to building staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior common areas, service corridors, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
  • Monitor entry points, gates, and designated areas, verifying credentials and/or authorization where required, and directing visitors to proper destinations in accordance with posted rules and site policies.
  • Complete detailed reports including daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
