As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Care in La Crescenta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols throughout a school district environment, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while reporting observations and responding professionally to routine concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at an educational campus.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or unauthorized individuals, and communicate observations to appropriate site personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
