As a Security Officer Unarmed Bicycle Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Riding a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with supervisors and/or public personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor entrances, public spaces, and/or assigned areas to help support order, report suspicious behavior, and follow post orders related to unauthorized access, trespassing, and/or policy violations.
  • Complete routine reports, logs, and/or incident documentation, and share observations with Allied Universal leadership and/or designated site contacts regarding security-related concerns.
