As an Access Control Officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service while embodying Allied Universal’s values of reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and/or designated access points by verifying credentials, processing visitors and drivers, and documenting arrivals and departures according to site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including exterior perimeters, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and other assigned zones as conditions allow.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations by observing site activity, reporting unusual conditions, and following established security-related procedures for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries.
