Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support passengers, staff, and visitors through professional customer service and clear communication, while documenting observations using basic technology. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing direction, requesting assistance, and supporting on-scene coordination as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, curbside areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter prohibited activity, identify irregular conditions, and report concerns.
- Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and radios, and communicate observations and instructions to appropriate personnel.
- Complete thorough documentation such as patrol logs and incident reports, and follow post orders for notifications, evidence handling, and property documentation.
