As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols across terminals and surrounding areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist travelers, staff, and visitors with clear directions and professional communication. You will document observations and report concerns using computer and/or tablet tools while supporting a caring, people-first culture. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with airport operations and/or local public agencies as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, curbside areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, suspicious conditions, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to supervision and/or the client representatives.
