Airport Security - Unarmed Officer Full Time
About The Position
As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Requirements
- 20+ Years of Age
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
- Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to all visitors and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned zones to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas in accordance with post orders, verifying credentials when required and/or directing individuals to proper check-in locations.
- Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, support entry screening lines and/or crowd and queue management as directed, and communicate with on-site personnel using radios and other approved devices.
