About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a retail distribution location in South Portland, Maine. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors. The role includes responding to incidents and alarms, documenting observations, and following site-specific procedures. The schedule is Tuesday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM, Friday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, and Sunday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. The pay rate is $22.28 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Customer service experience.
Access control or badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and access points.
Verify visitor, vendor, and driver authorization in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document observations.
Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation clearly and accurately.
