As a Security Officer Access Intake Driver in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. This is a driving post that may involve routine site movement, customer service, and teamwork while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative values with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification steps, and security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, gates, and access points, with attention to security-related concerns that may arise in an industrial location.
  • Support emergency response activities by following post orders, documenting observations, and reporting hazards, equipment issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
