As a Security Officer Unarmed Access Control in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or customers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related screening, and emergency response activities appropriate to a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including lobbies, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the location.
  • Support daily operations by preparing clear reports, maintaining a visible presence, and following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related policies and procedures.
