About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Mobile Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a utilities location, where you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and reports with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility operations areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, log entries and exits, and support controlled access for employees, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete timely reports and maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant updates to supervision and/or client representatives.
