Job Description As a Security Officer TWIC Patrol in Tampa, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, employees, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related events according to post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, vehicle access points, loading and unloading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access for personnel and deliveries, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contact.
• Support daily location operations by communicating with site contacts, following established post orders, and assisting with traffic flow, directions, and other security-related duties as needed.
