About The Position

As a Security Officer TWIC Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, employees, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related events according to post instructions.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, vehicle access points, loading and unloading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access for personnel and deliveries, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contact.
Support daily location operations by communicating with site contacts, following established post orders, and assisting with traffic flow, directions, and other security-related duties as needed.
