Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, gate areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related issues.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and support visitor, vendor, and vehicle processing in accordance with site policies.
  • Communicate with supervisors, public officials, and/or first responders when needed, and assist with traffic, crowd, and access control during routine operations and special activities.
