As a Security Officer Truck Gate and Patrol in Topton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer. In this driving post, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also support employees and visitors through strong communication and customer service while bringing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at the location to help manage authorized access, document visitor activity, and report unusual or unauthorized activity to the appropriate contact.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations involving restricted areas, deliveries, and/or employee and visitor access concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with attention to gates, entrances, loading areas, and other access-controlled points within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, communicating with site personnel regarding access-related issues, and following post orders and site-specific policies.
