As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and help to deter incidents through a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Control access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate visitor and vehicle logs, and communicate access concerns or unusual activity to the appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
