As a Security Officer - Transit Rover in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a public transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and help maintain an orderly environment. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, pedestrian traffic, and transit property for unusual conditions, policy violations, and potential hazards, documenting observations in accordance with location procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, reporting suspicious activity, and supporting incident response as directed by Allied Universal and location management.
