About The Position

As a Security Officer Train Unarmed in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, passenger concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when applicable, and help maintain an orderly environment for public transportation operations.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.
