As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will welcome employees and guests, support access control and badge procedures, answer phones, and coordinate visitor check-in and deliveries. You will stay visible at the entry point, help to deter security-related incidents, and document concerns with clear communication. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of Security Experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk of a tech, media, and/or telecom location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access to the facility by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials per site policy, and directing guests to appropriate contacts or areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from the reception area; document unusual activity and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for additional support and coordinating communications with client personnel as needed.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as visitor activity, incident reports, and shift handoff notes; maintain an orderly reception area and support administrative security-related tasks as assigned.
