About The Position

As a Front Desk Officer in a commercial real estate office setting, you will be the welcoming first point of contact while supporting security-related duties at the lobby. You will help manage access control and visitor check-in, issue and/or track badges, answer questions, and communicate clearly with tenants, guests, and building teams. You will also use a computer and/or tablet to document activity and help maintain an organized, professional environment aligned with Allied Universal values.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial office location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, managing access control processes, and issuing visitor credentials per site-specific policies.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from the desk, reporting unusual activity and documenting observations according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site management and/or emergency services as required.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as shift activity reports, incident reports, and access records, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnover.
