About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Yadkinville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact while supporting security-related operations. You will help manage access, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, answer questions, and communicate clearly with onsite teams. You will bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach to help keep daily operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in and badge issuance, and directing guests to approved destinations.
  • Monitor lobby activity and designated entry points, report irregular activity, and maintain a professional presence aligned with site expectations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as visitor records, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
