About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Patrol Driver in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, support access control and badging, and provide clear customer service and communication for employees and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal teams and/or public services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points, alarms, and/or video systems as assigned, assist with badge and visitor management processes, and report irregularities per location protocols.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate noteworthy activity to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support security-related audits and/or drills as directed.
